Sudden Light I HAVE been here before, But when or how I cannot tell: I know the grass beyond the door, The sweet keen smell, The sighing sound, the lights around the shore. You have been mine before,— How long ago I may not know: But just when at that swallow’s soar Your neck turned so, Some veil did fall,—I knew it all of yore. Has this been thus before? And shall not thus time’s eddying flight Still with our lives our love restore In death’s despite, And day and night yield one delight once more?  ~ Dante Gabriel Rossetti Continue reading Scrapbook {13th June 2011}

All of them make me laugh…

This is one of my favourite quotations of all time, because it rings true to the depth of well, my heart, and I thought I should share it… “Among those whom I like or admire, I can find no common denominator, but among those whom I love, I can: all of them make me laugh.” W. It makes sense in the end, trust me. I have since experienced my own versions of love stories. None of which involved any princesses; magic, I guess to some extent; exotic strangers… well actually, yes. There have been no happily  ever afters … Continue reading I wrote a love story once
